Wartosciowych is the main state security-printing
house in Poland operating under the supervision
of the Ministry of the Treasury.
Apart from stamps, PWPW prints
excise bands, banknotes, IDs, documents
for foreigners, including visas and permanent
residence cards, cheque books for Wielkopolski
Bank Kredytowy and Pekao SA Bank as well
as bingo cards. At the turn of the
Millennium, the printing house was also
preparing to launch the production of new
identity cards, driver's licences, car registration
cards and licence plates.
In 1948 and in 1955 they
purchased new rotary printing presses, the
latter from WIFAG of Switzerland, the former
