     = Understood to be a current stamp printer.

 First postage stamp issued: 1866.
When Khedive Tewfik ascended the throne in 1879, the printing of Egypt's stamps was done by De La Rue & Co. by "surface printing". In 1919, the contract was taken over by Harrisons & Sons.  In 1925, during Mazloum Pasha's administration, Egypt's stamp production was brought home and put under the able direction of the Survey Department in Giza.

A paragraph in a 1961 new issue leaflet for the U.A.R. (Egyptian Region) records: "The Postal Authority has imported the most modern Swiss-type stamp printing machines which have been installed in the new L.E. 400,000 Stamp Press at Abbassia, near Cairo. Each machine will have the capacity of printing 480,000 stamps per hour for sheets comprising 100 stamps each. This press will meet the needs for U.A.R. stamps as well as for those of neighbouring countries."
